Supporting the German army's mechanized Blitzkrieg during the early stages of WWII was the 6X4 Krupp Protze light truck. Popularly known as the "boxer" due to its air-cooled flat-4 engine, this vehicle provided valuable support for the rapidly moving army by towing artillery pieces and carrying troops and supplies. It's unique sloped engine cover offered excellent forward visibility and the truck was well-liked for its reliability and ease of maintenance.
The Russian Heavy Tank JS-2 was built to overthrow the German Tiger I. Put into production in the latter half of WWII in December 1943, it had a long powerful 122mm gun and superior mobility. From August 1944 the upper part of the hatch was removed from the hull which greatly improved its survivability. The JS-2 was produced in the Chelyabinsk Kirov factory (ChKZ), and a characteristic of the tank is its one piece cast rounded front. The JS-2 showed great strength in the break through of defensive positions but also in anti-tank battles. The Russian tank JS-2 played a major part which contributed to the victory of the end of the Great War.

This scale model assembly kit recreates the Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF) Type 16, which reached units beginning in 2017. An 8-wheel vehicle, the JGSDF classify it as a Maneuver Combat Vehicle (MCV), a highly mobile and well-armed vehicle intended to provide supporting fire and take on enemy armor as a part of rapid response units. Its domestically designed L/52 105mm rifled gun is a low-recoil piece with perforated muzzle brake and a fire control system to enable accurate firing on the move. Rolled steel turret and hull employ modular and spaced armor estimated to be able to survive frontal hits from 20-30mm class guns and portable anti-tank weapons. Thanks to its 570hp engine, the 26-ton Type 16 has a top speed of around 100km/h and significant range; it looks set to provide a major boost to JGSDF units as its rollout continues.

Development of the V-75 Dvina air defence missile system, designated SA-2 `Guideline' by NATO, started in 1953 as a medium to high SAM system for use against non-manoeuvring targets such as bombers. The system became operational in 1957 when the PVO-Strany formed SA-2 missile regiments of three six rail launcher battalions, with one of the initial deployments near the city of Sverdiovsk. On 1 May 1960 the Sverdiovsk units fired a total of 14 SA-2 missiles against a Lockheed U-2 high altitude reconnaissance aircraft flown by Gary Powers. The SA-2 is a two stage missile with a large solid propellant jettisonable tandem booster stage fitted with four large clipped delta stabilising fins. Towards the mid-section of the missile are four clipped delta-shaped wings with a second set of small fixed fins at the nose and a third in-line set of slightly larger moving control fins at the tail. The SA-2A/B/C models can be distinguished by the two sets of four, flush dielectric strip antennas in front and behind the forward fins.

This is a completely new model of the fearsome German tank destroyer Jagdpanzer IV Lang. It is designed from the ground up to be part of the long catalog of models offered in the Tamiya 1/35 scale line up of model kits.
The original Jagdpanzer IV tank destroyer was based upon the Panzer IV vehicle and used extensive sloped armor with the 48-caliber 7.5cm gun that had already proven its worth on other vehicles. In January 1944, it was decided to upgrade the Jagdpanzer IV, with the powerful 70-caliber 7.5cm anti-tank gun installed in place of the original 48-caliber weapon. This bigger gun was fitted to the Jadgpanzer IV with the intention of giving it the ability to destroy Allied tanks without even entering their weapons range. It was also the origin of the name Lang, which translates into English as "long". The (V) was applied to vehicles manufactured by the German company Vomag. 930 Jagdpanzer IV /70(V) Lang vehicles were manufactured between August 1944 and March 1945, with German forces taking advantage of the exceptional range of the gun, employing it in both defensive and ambush roles even as their military situation worsened. December 2014 marks 70 years since the Battle of the Bulge, which was effectively the final German offensive of WWII. This model is perfect and right on time to liven up late Second World War dioramas.
It was the end of 1942 when a German heavy tank with extra thick armor and a powerful main gun first appeared on the North African front. The new tank, long-desired by the German soldiers who had hard-fought battles against the allies, became known as the Tiger I Ausf. E. Development of the Tiger I began at the end of May 1941. The German Army Weapons Branch ordered the Henschel firm to vie with Porsche in producing a prototype. The first prototypes underwent trials on April 1942. The result of these and subsequent trial showed the superiority of the Henschel vehicle to the Porsche"s, and thus production orders were placed for it. The Henschel"s prototype had thick armor of 100mm at the front and 80mm on both sides, and the main gun was the then most potent, the 8.8cm KwK 36 L/56. The powerplant was Maybach"s HL 210 P45, yielding 650 horsepower. Mass production started already in August 1942 with little alteration from the prototype. Starting from November 1942, air pre-cleaners were added on the rear hull plate. The mantlet was partly strengthened and "S" mine dischargers were fitted on five mounting points around the hull roof beginning from December. Moreover, a loader"s periscope was fitted from January 1943. The Tiger I produced from November 1942 to July 1943 featured these modifications, are referred to as the early production. About 200 units of these early production versions were produced.
