1:35 SCALE RUSSIAN T-62A TANK
Description:
This is a Plastic 1:35 Scale T-62A Russian Tank from Tamiya. This kit is for modelers age 10 and over.
The T62 tank made its first official appearance in the victory parade to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the victory over Germany on May 9th 1965. It was the Soviet Union's reply to the Western new tanks. However, eight years later in October 1973, Israeli troops captured a considerable number of Arab T62 tanks and about ten of these were sent to the U.S. and put through exhaustive tests, which revealed everything about the tank which had been veiled in mystery.

Description:
Throughout WWII, Germany carried out an extensive program of armored vehicle development, deploying a vast range of armored vehicles to the front line. Amongst these vehicles, the compact 4WD Sd.Kfz.222 remains one of the most famous and popular. Featuring welded plate armor particular to German vehicles at that time, the Sd.Kfz.222 was fitted with a rotating open top turret protected by grenade deflecting mesh screens. The 222 was equipped with an anti-tank and anti-aircraft 20mm main gun and a 7.92mm machine gun. Featuring a 4WD chassis with fully independent suspension and optional 4-wheel steering, it had a top speed of 90km/h. TAMIYA 1/35 German Sd.Kfz.2 Kettenkraftrad
Description:
This 1/35 scale assembly model recreates an all-new version of the Kettenkraftrad, which was previously released in the 1/35 Military Miniature Series as Item 35029 back in 1973. The kit depicts a mid-production version, as opposed to the early-production version seen in the 1973 release. The model gives you more realistic scenery options with three infantry figures and a cart also included. The Kettenkraftrad was originally developed for commando units, but was found to be highly useful on the poor terrain in Russian territory. Of its numerous versions, the mid- production was the most prolifically manufactured, and was used to transport materials and even guns in the latter half of WWII.

TAMIYA 1/35 Italian Carro Armato M13/40 Tank
Description:
Italy's Main WWII Tank
During WWII, the Italian army used the M13/40 as its main tank. It featured a riveted construction and bogey-style wheels on a leaf spring suspension with a 47mm main gun featuring on Italy's first ever hydraulically operated turret. In addition, the M13/40 was powered by a 125hp V8 liquid-cooled diesel engine which produced a top speed of 30km/h. From July 1940 through to 1943, approximately 800 units were produced. They fought mainly alongside the German African Corps at the North African front.

TAMIYA 1/48 Kommandeurwagen German Steyr Type 1500A
Description:
With the quick advances of their mechanized Blitzkrieg tactics, vehicles were needed to move the German army commanders and generals from place to place as their army pushes forward.
One such vehicle was a 4-door version of the Austrian Steyr 1500A/01 light truck, which was powered by an 85hp 8-cylinder engine and had good cross-country performance. As this was a commander"s vehicle, modifications included a more spacious 5-person cabin as opposed to the truck"s 8-person capacity. The cabin was also fitted with leather seats and a front passenger seat that could recline to form a bed. High-level German commanders on all fronts used them as their personal vehicles.

Among them was the M21 mortar carrier, which was officially adopted in June 1943. TAMIYA 1/35 Russian T34/76 Chtz Kit
Description:
During the early period of the Second World War, the Wehrmacht invasion into industrialized Russia threatened the supply of critical war materials and manufacturing plants. Russia's National Defense Committee made a decision to move tank production and associated factories. The location became known as "Tankograd" (Tank City) a nickname acquired for this site situated deep in the Urals. The Russians, with an urgent requirement to reinforce their tank strength, made efforts to simplify tank manufacturing methods. This resulted in many versions of the T34 tank, that differed greatly from each other. One of the more distinctive versions was produced at the Chelyabinsk Tractor Works, "ChTZ" in Tankograd in 1943. This model used a one piece cast turret with pronounced rounding on the edges of the turret roof and a peculiar dip along the lower edge of the turret. This improved turret, had additional periscope and pistol ports, and provided more room and comfort for the crew. A new five-speed transmission with modified clutch was added, replacing four-speed model. Combined with engine improvements, these modifications extended the time between maintenance and repair. With few of the "ChTZ" versions produced, of the thousands of T34/76 tanks manufactured, it is regarded almost as a rarity.

TAMIYA 1/35 GERMAN TANK MAINTENANCE CREW
Description:
Powerplants are crucial components for any motorized vehicle and combat vehicles are no exception. Along with fire power and crew protection, maneuverability directly effects survivability. During WWII, Germany"s Tiger I heavy tank initially used a Maybach V-12 cylinder, 21,400cc HL210 P45 gasoline engine. It had a maximum output of 650 horsepower and plenty of low RPM torque; however, propelling a 65 ton chassis through rough terrain was not easy, even for this well engineered unit. On the Russian front during summer months, the engine would overheat and sometimes caught fire, due to the heavy loads and work far exceeding its limits. In order to check the engine oil level and radiator coolant, the Tiger I had to stop every 45 minutes of running time during the summer. Maintenance of the engine was usually the driver"s responsibility, but once trouble occurred, the whole crew was compelled to fixing it. These problems and breakdowns were other "battles" for the crew. At a later date, the improved Maybach HL230 P30 engine, with 700 horsepower was used in late production versions of the Tiger I, the Panther, and the King Tiger. Daily maintenance and repair work were still indispensable, and to make maintenance more efficient, an engineer was dispatched from Maybach to the maintenance company of each Tiger heavy tank battalion, to assist in servicing the engines.
