The Landmines have alternating solid and cavity pads which is ideal for transitioning from smooth dirt or pavement into dirt, mud, and rocky terrain. Moving toward the edges of the carcass, the scaling tire has horizonal grippy pads with edge and channels to provide additional forward climbing bite.
Down within the tread, a lightning pattern, knob plots and connector bars pull the design together to work together at shallow and deep sinking positions. Once power is applied to the vehicle, the tread spacing opens which allows for deep digging, making it a great working tire in dirt and muddy conditions. A grippy radial ring provides a consistent rubber contact patch in pinched conditions while in the vertical plane, traction bars alternate between angular and island mapping for squeeze grip.
The major flexibility of the super soft green compound combined with the lug arrangement gives the tire a grippy feel but still maintains that all important scale and performance look. The overall height provides plenty of ground clearance for an abundance of terrain and bossed side-wall logos read with beauty and balance. The tires include a soft open cell foam insert capable of standing up to the compound but flexible enough for sharp terrain. Battlefield, watch-out, Landmines are taking over.

The Hold - Green Compound, 63mm OD, Fits 1.0" SCX24 Wheel
The Hold was designed from the ground-up as a carved and chiseled design to handle a variety of scale off-road terrain. The large horizontal traction bars put a "Hold" on ranging features from dirt, asphalt, grass, mud, rock, and clay. At the tip of the tread, the downward progression starts and reveals another flat bar of gripping pattern to provide offset traction controlling attributes. During the bar transitions, an angular segment stabilizes and gives edginess to terrain at another direction to help the lift and cut through even more environments.
The 63mm outside diameter size provides additional size in a successful fleet of tires which have size, detail, and still look girth appropriate for 1/24th scale off-road crawling machines. The sidewall lugging on The Hold starts with peaks set at the outer most constraints of the design. An alternating pattern of finely detailed tread steps in and out allowing a multitude of edging to stand out from the design. Inscribed drops of features are placed in an array pattern to promote more flexibility in areas of need.
Perhaps the greatest detail of all, the mimicked hand cutting details completely cover The Hold. The horizontal traction bars are back cut and step down to the carcass and wrap around the sidewall in a forward progressing pattern. On top of the carcass itself, more surface removal is shown to bring out intensity. Lettering is bossed along the bead area placing name, sizing, and authentic logos in plain view but rested underneath the heavily modified tread. The Hold comes standard in the grippy green compound and includes soft open cell inserts for plenty of flexibility.

JConcepts continues to muscle scale off-road items into the market with the introduction of the Tusk 1.0" tire. Available as pre-mounted, the Tusk tire is combined with the #3431B Glide 5 wheel for an easy installation and the ability to head straight to the trail. The JConcepts team used a 2.0" overall size making it a very high-performance and scale-based tire.
The Tusk starts with a V-shaped lug with multiple steps to the sides for additional grip while the gold compound rubber flexes and contours to the landscape. The design team added large, staggered traction bars off the side continuing the V-shape pattern and while the shorter version steps in conjunction with the center lug, the longer version fills a void underneath and meets up near the center line of the tire.
JConcepts has added sidewall lugging for pinch grip and gap crawling and relieved a small portion of rubber for increased flexibility. All traction bars and lugging have relieved cuts and slots on the top to split up the flat surfaces for additional little edges for light dirt, dust, and debris. The sidewall lettering is highly detailed on the Tusk with naming, sizing, and identification.
